Audit

Know exactly what happened — the complete operational timeline with every detection, proposal, approval, execution, and verification.

What the audit trail is

The audit trail is the complete operational record for every domain in your organization. Every action Infraova takes — every monitoring result, every detection event, every proposal generated, every approval or rejection, every remediation executed, every verification run — is recorded with a timestamp and an actor. The audit trail is immutable. Nothing is edited or deleted.

The operational timeline

For each domain, the audit trail shows a chronological timeline of everything that happened. The timeline starts with the domain being added to Infraova and continues through every operational event. You can see exactly when an issue was detected, when a proposal was generated, who approved it, when Infraova executed the change, and when verification confirmed it worked.

Timestamps and actors

Every event in the audit trail has a precise timestamp — when it was created, not just when it was processed. For events that involve human action — approvals, rejections, manual dismissals — the actor is recorded: which team member took the action and from which interface. This makes the audit trail useful not just as a technical record but as an accountability record.

What the audit trail covers

The audit trail covers monitoring events, detection events, proposal creation and status changes, approval and rejection actions with notes, remediation execution including provider API calls and responses, verification passes and results, and configuration changes at the organization and domain level. It also records team member actions — invitations, role changes, and access revocations.

Using the audit trail for client reporting

The audit trail is the source of truth for operational reports. When a client asks what changed on their domain and when, the audit trail provides the answer with precise timestamps. When a stakeholder needs to verify that a specific change was authorized before it was executed, the approval record in the audit trail is the proof. Operational reports generated from Infraova pull from the audit trail data.

Audit trail access

The audit trail is accessible to organization owners and administrators. Members can access the audit trail for domains within their scope. The API exposes an audit endpoint that returns the full event history for a domain or organization — useful for pulling audit data into external systems or compliance tooling.

Note

The audit trail is read-only. No event can be modified or deleted by any user including organization owners.
