Proposals

Infraova does not just tell you something is wrong — it proposes exactly what should happen, with the expected outcome.

What a proposal is

A proposal is Infraova's recommendation for how to resolve a detected issue. It is not a general suggestion — it is a specific, concrete action. For a DNS issue, the proposal contains the exact record change: the record type, the name, the value, the TTL. For an authentication problem, the proposal contains the corrected record content. The proposal also includes an explanation of why the change is needed and what the expected outcome is once the change is applied.

How proposals are generated

Infraova generates a proposal automatically when a detected issue has a clear, actionable resolution. Not every issue generates a proposal immediately — some issues require more context before a proposal can be constructed. When a proposal is ready, it appears in the Issues view alongside the issue that triggered it, and a notification is sent to operators with approval authority.

What a proposal contains

Every proposal contains the issue it addresses, the domain and client affected, the specific change being proposed, the provider through which the change will be executed, an explanation of why the change is needed, and the expected state after the change is applied. For DNS changes, the proposal shows the before and after state of the record so you can review exactly what will change.

Reviewing a proposal

Proposals appear in the Issues view with a Pending Approval status. Clicking into a proposal shows the full detail — the diagnosis, the proposed change, the expected outcome. You can approve the proposal, reject it with a reason, or leave it pending if you want to investigate further. Infraova does not time out proposals — they remain available for review until you take action.

Proposal status

A proposal moves through a defined set of statuses. Pending means it is awaiting review. Approved means an operator has approved it and it is queued for execution. Executing means Infraova is in the process of applying the change. Completed means the change was applied and verification passed. Failed means the execution or verification encountered an error. Rejected means an operator reviewed and chose not to proceed.

When Infraova cannot generate a proposal

Some issues do not have a straightforward automated resolution — a misconfigured DKIM selector that requires coordination with the email platform, a reputation problem that requires investigation before a DNS change would help. In these cases, Infraova surfaces the issue and the diagnosis without a proposal, flagging it for manual review. The issue remains open until you resolve or dismiss it.

Note

An issue without a proposal is not a limitation of Infraova — it means the resolution requires a decision or action that cannot be automated. The diagnosis still tells you what is wrong and why.
