Sending Platforms

Connect cold email and sending infrastructure so domain health has operational sending context — volume, bounces, replies, and deliverability signals.

What sending platforms are

Sending platforms are the tools used to send outbound email at volume — cold outreach tools like Instantly and Smartlead, transactional senders like SendGrid and Mailgun, and reputation monitoring tools like Google Postmaster. These platforms sit between the domain and the inbox. They hold the sending history and the deliverability metrics that reveal how a domain is actually performing.

Why sending context matters for domain health

A domain's DNS records can be perfectly configured while its sending reputation is degraded. High bounce rates, spam complaints, and low engagement all affect domain and IP reputation — independently of how the DNS authentication records look. Without sending platform context, Infraova would only see half the picture. With it, Infraova can surface problems that are driven by sending behavior, not just DNS misconfiguration.

What Infraova reads from sending platforms

From cold email platforms like Instantly and Smartlead, Infraova reads sending volume, bounce rates, reply rates, and domain warmup status. From transactional senders like SendGrid and Mailgun, Infraova reads delivery rates, bounce classifications, and spam complaint rates. From Google Postmaster, Infraova reads domain reputation and IP reputation signals directly from Gmail's perspective.

Note

Sending platform data is used for monitoring and health scoring only. Infraova does not write to or make changes through sending platform APIs.

How sending data appears in Infraova

Sending platform data appears in the domain health view as a separate layer alongside DNS data. When a domain has a connected sending platform, its health score reflects both DNS configuration and sending performance. Issues surfaced by sending platform data appear alongside DNS issues in the detection feed, with context about which platform is the source.

Google Postmaster

Google Postmaster is a special case among sending platform connections. It provides direct reputation signals from Gmail — domain reputation, IP reputation, spam rate, and authentication pass rates as Gmail sees them. For agencies managing domains that send to Gmail inboxes, Postmaster data is one of the most reliable signals for deliverability health. Connecting Google Postmaster requires domain verification through Google Search Console.

Connecting multiple platforms

A single domain may have activity across multiple sending platforms — cold outreach running through Instantly, transactional email through SendGrid, and marketing campaigns through Klaviyo. Infraova tracks all of them under the same domain record and surfaces issues from any connected platform.
