Connecting Slack notifications

Slack alerts work through an Incoming Webhook, which you create from your own Slack workspace settings (Slack app directory → Incoming Webhooks → Add to Slack), choosing which channel alerts should post to. Slack generates a unique URL for that channel.

Paste that URL into the Slack webhook URL field in the Notification Settings panel on the Alerts page, then click Save preferences. This is org-wide, the same as the alert email one webhook for all alerts, not one per client.

Setting a Slack webhook does not replace email alerts both fire independently if both are configured. There is no toggle to disable one in favor of the other; leaving a field blank is what turns that channel off.
