The alert lifecycle

An alert starts as Open. From there you can Acknowledge it (marking it as seen and being worked on, without closing it) or Resolve it directly Acknowledging is optional, not a required step before resolving.

When you resolve an alert, you can optionally add a short resolution note (up to 500 characters) describing what was done. Once resolved, the alert disappears from both the Open and Acknowledged tabs.

Where resolved alerts go

The History tab shows every alert ever raised open, acknowledged, and resolved sorted newest first, regardless of current status. This is the place to look for a full record of what happened on a domain over time, useful when putting together a client-facing summary of past incidents.
