How to connect a DNS provider
Connect Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, or another supported provider to enable automated remediation.
The situation
Without a connected DNS provider, Infraova can monitor and detect — but cannot execute approved remediations automatically. Connecting a provider gives Infraova the operational access needed to propose exact fixes and execute them after approval.
Before you begin
For agencies: When connecting a client's DNS provider, confirm the client is aware that Infraova will have API access. Infraova never changes DNS automatically — every change requires your explicit approval.
The operational path
The goal isn't just to find the error. The goal is to move from detection to a verified infrastructure state.
What could have caused this?
Cause
What changed
Possible impact
No provider connected
Remediation requires manual DNS editing
Slower resolution, more manual work
Wrong credentials
API authentication fails
Connection cannot be established
Insufficient permissions
Read-only access only
Infraova can read but not write records
Step by step
Navigate to the DNS provider integration in Infraova and select the provider that manages the domains you want to connect.
What to check
Each provider requires different credentials. Follow the provider-specific instructions to generate the correct API key or token.
What to check
With Infraova
Infraova never stores credentials in plain text. Provider credentials are encrypted and used only to execute approved DNS changes.
After the connection is authorized, Infraova pulls the list of domains managed by that provider.
What to check
Expected result: Domains are now imported and connected to the provider.
Confirm the connection is working by reviewing the connection status.
What to check
Expected result: The provider is connected. Approved remediations will execute through this connection.
You decide. Infraova executes.
Infraova can propose and execute an approved infrastructure change, but it does not independently decide to modify client infrastructure. Every proposed change requires explicit authorization before execution.
Key takeaway
Connecting a DNS provider takes a few minutes and unlocks the full operational loop — from detection to approved remediation to verified result.
